Services Offered:
Public Speaking:
As a public speaker, I am available
for presentations to groups, workplace environments, and keynote
addresses. I have spoken to audiences of 10 to 10,000 persons.
Among them: The Commonwealth Club of San Francisco, the Annual
Conference of California Association of Marriage and Family
Therapists (CAMFT), the National Association for the Mentally
Ill (NAMI), and Churches of many denominations throughout the
world.
My speaking topics include:
The Day I Fell Out of the Sky.
In 1993 I broke my neck and paralyzed myself with spinal cord
injury from a paragliding accident. This accident taught me
how to deal with personal tragedy, and how to survive by turning
disaster into opportunity.
Making Marriage Work.
Seven key principles all effective marriages have that produce
healthy marriages.
Solving the Mid-Life Crisis.
Mid-life is a time to explore other rooms in the house. In
reality, the crisis is an opportunity to find new goals and
new direction for the next stage of your life.
Holding the Family Together
While You Let Go of Your Marriage.
Divorce ends a marriage; it does not end a family. Parents
must continue their role as co-parents while they let go of
the parts of their marriage that no longer work.
Surviving Adolescence.
Picking your issues with your children when they turn into
teenagers is essential work for all parents.
Coping Skills for Parents When
Children Have a Psychotic Break.
Nothing is as heart breaking as watching a loved one descend
into madness. The skills to cope with this are explained in
detail.
Now That You Are Single, How
to Prepare For Your Next Empowering Relationship.
Being single allows you to evaluate what went wrong with your
past relationships. Singleness is an opportunity to evaluate
who you are, what you want, and how to achieve these goals.
